hey so i recently had a bartholin cyst turned abscess drained yesterday and the provider inserted a word catheter to let it continue draining and said it’s supposed to fall out on its own. now, i have some questions. one, i can see some of the balloon and the area is hurting and making it difficult to walk. is seeing the balloon normal? it’s supposed to drain around the balloon but i mean the entire thing is blocked. i tried pushing it back in to allow it to drain and it wouldn’t move. another question is how does it fall out on its own with an inflated balloon? does it deflate as it heals? I’m not sure.
