I just told my parents about being pregnant last night. Even though I’m 36 I’ve had anxiety about telling them because I’m not married and they are very old school. I have 2 children from my previous marriage and my boyfriend and I are now expecting my 3rd (his 2nd). They seemed supportive at first but today my mom has tried to take control of the situation. My boyfriend and I are fully functioning, financially stable, capable adults and the only thing I crave from my parents is love and support. Why does that seem like it is so hard to give?
