Adjusting PM feeding
Our pediatrician said we no longer have to wake our EBF 10 week old to eat. I still want to keep a schedule though and need advice on how to change my current bedtime routine.
I’ve been feeding her at 6:30pm, 9:30pm, 1:30am, and 6:30am. She is always really sleepy and hard to wake up at the 9:30pm feed. I’d like to push that one later and eliminate the 1:30am (eg just do 11:30pm), but I’m not sure how to go about doing that. In the morning I’m already so engorged that it hurts and I’m soaking breast pads. I also want her to be able to gradually get used to sleeping longer. I feel that slowly moving them closer together doesn’t seem right…?
When I do this, do I still need to feed her every 3 hours during the day? Or can I let her go to 4 hours?
