So tonight we hit a deer on our way home from my in-laws and I need help on what I should do from here. I am 37 weeks. I already have an appointment scheduled with my doctor on Tuesday this up coming week and plan on calling in early on Monday to see if they can see me a day early on Monday or what I should do. Their office isn’t open over the weekend. Baby has been moving. I’ve gotten 10+ movements in an hour and I did get checked out by EMS on site and they listened to baby’s heartbeat through stethoscope and said that she sounds good. I haven’t had any bleeding or abdominal pain or contractions or cramps. There is some bruising where the seatbelt was under my belly that is tender to the touch and my hips are achy from the impact but other than that, nothing. I don’t really have the funds to go to an ER for an ultrasound that isn’t covered so that’s why I’m hesitant about just going to get checked out. Has anyone ever been in this situation and can give me some guidance on what to do? I know this might seem like a foolish question and I want to err on the side of caution I just also don’t want to be over reacting and spend money I don’t have if there’s nothing to worry about.
