Heavy menstrual bleeding?
A heavier period for me would be changing my tampon every 3 hours. So nothing too bad.
This period at the moment is insane. My period started on the night of the 3rd Dec, started like my normal periods, perhaps mildly heavier and right before bed.
On the 4th Dec from the moment I woke up, I was changing tampon at least every hour, I had to leave work early as I ran out of tampons within 3hrs and had bad cramps (bad cramps are typical for me, no matter the flow).
Today (10pm on the 5th Dec) I have still consistently been changing tampon every hour, a few times after only 30mins, I have to also wear a pad as I’m bleeding through my tampons. Even with the pad, I’ve ruined 2 pairs of underwear just today. When I go to pee, heaps more comes out and there’s clots (though, not large clots, average sized, some moderately larger). My face has gone super pale but I have mad bags around my eyes. I’m super cold but my oxygen level is fine (I have a monitor because I’m asthmatic), but my temperature has been hovering between 34.2 and 34.8 (Celsius), my heart rate currently sitting at 118.
I’m not sure what is a normal range for amounts of bleeding, I understand the pain range very well as I’ve always suffered extremely severe cramps, but bleeding itself and what is/isn’t normal is totally out of my knowledge. I feel absolutely horrible, but periods make anyone feel rubbish. I can’t not be at work because I only just started a new job and had to take off 2 days last week due to a respiratory infection (which has since resolved, I took the days off as I have a pregnant coworker).
Is there something I should be doing about this type of bleeding? Is it a concern or just an inconvenience I need to sit through
