Skipping Birthday Party?

Anyone planning to not have a big birthday party for their little this year? I bought some balloons, a “1” shirt, and a smash cake and I’m going to take pictures like we had a real party. My family doesn’t like that idea, but I don’t really care 🤷🏼‍♀️

We don’t plan on having a big birthday for our son when he turns one in March. Small group of people, food, and cake.

You aren’t alone in that decision! We aren’t doing a party either! Just decorate and smash cake for pictures as memory! Too many sick people around that who knows if it’s RSV or Fiu, it’s not worth risking my baby and getting her sick, we don’t really go out anyways I’m a SAHM and rotate with my husband on doing the shopping to keep her safe and avoid illness and so far it has worked, plus the weather sucks anyway we plan on celebrating her birthday next year a few months before tho so we all can enjoy.. My sisters twins are barely getting over the flu from 3 wks ago when their birthday was celebrated and the family was upset because We didn’t attend since there were “ONLY 25” people including adults and kids, no thanks!

We aren’t. My oldests’ first birthday was smack dab in the start of covid restrictions. We ended up not having a party and did our own little DIY photo shoot instead. It was actually lots of fun so we did it for our December baby this year as well. She turns one on the 22nd and we just did a photoshoot instead
