So my baby is 2 weeks old almost. He sleeps for long time at night, like 3-4 hours. When he wakes up he will only drink from one breast-not completely drain it and go back to sleep. I try to wake him but he’s to sleepy and seems full and satisfied.

My other boob will still be super full and the one he drank from is half, or mostly drained feeling. It depends.

So only one boob at a time gets used at night because they are so full, so whichever one isn’t used goes like 6 hours just filling up and I get engorged. During the day he sleeps for 1-3 hours and he usually drains both of them with each feed.

I now have pain on the bottom of my smaller boob. I feel it even when he drains them so much they are like floppy pancakes. It only hurts when I touch it and I don’t feel any lumps or excessive warmth. I was worried I might have mastitis. It just kinda feels like I have a bruise there. It’s definitely painful though and I have really painful letdown. This is my third time breastfeeding and I’ve always had super painful letdown so idk. Never had mastitis before though so I’m unsure what it feels like.
