Is it normal to have pregnancy nausea or basically just retching for no real reason first thing in a morning then feel absolutely normal for rest of the day? 8 weeks pregnant x

I had morning sickness all day and it was extra bad at night. That is normal ('morning' sicknessis a misnomer). If it is so bad that you have trouble eating or drinking then talk to your dr for sure.
