So growing up I had never heard of the elf on a shelf, and same with raising my kids we only do Santa and advent calendars. But just the other day my 10 year old asked me why we don’t have an elf on a shelf and it caught me off guard.

Now I feel so much guilt for not taking part in this tradition. I had no idea my son even wondered why we didn’t have an elf as I never even knew about this till a couple years ago.
