Are diapers hurting my daughter?

Question

My daughter is 15 days old and stays relatively calm during diaper changes but every single time we go to strap the diaper on, she starts to scream and cry. My husband and I have both double checked that we’re not securing the diaper too tight and there’s next to no mark/imprints left from her diapers yet as soon as we secure that first strap she loses her mind. Any idea what could he flipping her out? are we doing something wrong to hurt her?

Sounds more like they enjoying being naked lol
They just went from a warm fluid sac naked to this crazy world with diapers and clothes. 
Little one is probably like “not again”. They’ll grow out it.

That's super normal.  I always did a bit of naked time with my babies. I'd just use several folded up cotton receiving blankets for catching pee and hold my naked baby.

Some babies just really hate being exposed and having their diaper changed, they eventually move on from that issue as newborns to an extent. They still won't like it but it won't be as dramatic.

Following this. My 3 week old LO does same except it is during the whole process of change and not just while putting the clasps. We even have wipe warmers as it gets cold where we are at and also apply either vaseline or sudocrem after every 1-3 changes. Once diaper is secure and onesie zipped, goes back to being calm so we think baby May be a lil cold 🥶 during changing even though the room temp is between 69-71 degrees. Definitely doesn’t seem like any injury or too tight diapers to us but who knows!
