Does popular matter?

I cannot find any names I like. Only a few weeks to decide. I have a Finley George. Any ideas for my second boy (Middle name will be Thomas).
I like softer names and it was going to be Arlo but it’s sooo popular now I’m not sure. 
Ideas please!

I had a popular name growing up so I went my first name and last initial, if those also matched I would get called by my last name.

Popularity matters to me but that’s just my personal preference. Also I know name popularity can be a location thing, but I don’t know a single Arlo and I have 4 kids ages 6 and under who are in school and plenty of extra-curriculars……if that helps. I think Arlo Thomas is adorable. Also wanted to suggest Ari it is a softer sounding traditional boy name that means lion.

I named my daughter Maya, I dont care if it's popular, I like it and it suits her.

It really doesn't matter because when you pick a name it could all of a sudden be popular anyways, that's what happened with my daughter.
Never in my life had I met anyone with my daughter's name and I swear the second she was born everyone was naming their daughters Aurora, I live in a very small town and have met 3 others close to her age.
