Should I get a second opinion?

Bethany

So I'm 18 and recently gotten a job. I have suffered from severe period pain ever since I started which was when I was around 13. There was times where I couldn't get out of bed because my pain was that bad and I've missed heaps of school because of my pain aswell.

My family has a history of Endo and PCOS, my mum has had a hysterectomy due to a burst cyst 2 years ago and earlier this year I suffered from what I believe was a burst cyst but the hospital said was a UTI.

I also suffer from PMDD (pre menstrual dysphoric disorder) and I was given Birth Control, which has helped with my emotional well-being but not so much the pain.

I have had an ultrasound and the gynaecologist said everything looks normal and fine but I still suffer from severe pain and I know I won't be able to work at that time.

I went to the doctors today to ask if I can have more tests done but my doctor has said there is nothing else they can do. Should I find a different doctor and get a second opinion? Or is my doctor right?
