Agree with the other ladies.  Clean, dry and aquaphor or petroleum jelly.

Could also try applying warm water with a  baby wash rag then let it air dry and apply some petroleum jelly, a thin layer should do. It always helped my twins' when they both broke out with drool rash. It's a skin protectant and was also recommended by their doctor. It worked for us.
