I am 8 weeks postpartum and I had the Paragard placed at my postpartum appointment a little over a week ago. We went over what to expect in terms of spotting and periods but not discharge. When I went to the bathroom just now this weird glob of thick, mucus like discharge was sitting in my underwear. When I wiped I had lighter, stickier, blood tinged discharge closer to what I’ve been experiencing. Is this common to the Paragard IUD? I didn’t have any infections come up in my urine at my appointment and I have no symptoms indicating an infection now, but this weird glob definitely looks weird to me.
