Mention to the teacher or ignore it?

On Friday my 4 year old daughter came home with a bruise on her forehead- her dad picked her up from school. Her dad is rather ehm what’s the word I am looking for to describe someone who does not pay attention to things as they should?

Anyways moving on, I noticed the scratch when they returned home and I asked my daughter what happened… she said that she fell and banged her head in school so she has the scratch from the fall. I asked her father if the teacher mentioned anything about this to him when he picked her up… he said no.

It was the weekend so there was nothing I could do about it in terms of contacting the school. I intend going to the school today (Monday) to ask the teacher if she is aware that my daughter fell and banged her head, and why we were not informed.

My mum is saying that I should just let it go and that children get bruises all the time so it’s no big deal. What do you guys think? Speak to the teacher or let it go? I know for sure that they wouldn’t let it go if a child comes to school with a bruise? I feel that the teacher should have at least mentioned it
