Is a serious relationship based on quantity or quality?

So I’m just curious, what do you consider a serious relationship? Is it based on quantity or quality?

I think it’s shared commitments mostly 
Living together, marriage, kids, shared bills, etc.

Quality for sure. You can "have it all" financially and be completely unhappy if you don't have a strong foundation spiritually, emotionally, morally, etc. If your relationship has the qualities you need you can always build with that person.

It’s based on many things. I live with my two partners and we have a child. It’s based on honesty, communication, teamwork, trust, etc. Relationships are different for everyone and mean differently as well.
