Does daycare build immunity?

My son started daycare in September. It seems like he’s been sick since. Will he stop getting sick so frequently? He’s 3.

Supposedly kids who go to daycare vs don’t go to daycare get a similar total number of childhood illnesses, but kids that go to daycare just get them sooner. While someone never wants their child sick, there are actually some benefits to getting illnesses earlier in life, such as lower rates of autoimmune disorders and leukemia. 🙂

he will eventually become more immune, the first year or so is the worst for all kids, it will get better though! it’s impossible to keep all kids from being sick and passing around sicknesses at a daycare!
