So I am a stay at home mom my toddler has very bad allergies and I have some health issues after having her where I couldn't return to work and so the only income is my husband's he doesn't make alot and has to work about 10 hours over just so we wouldn't have to change our lives to much I felt bad about this but my husband wanted to so I did odd and end things to get extra money to buy Christmas so i could feel like I did help buy it I also sold some stuff from my hobby to get more cash on black Friday my brother asked me to pick up about 50 dollars worth of stuff for him and he would pay me back the next weekend well I was hesitant because technically he still ows me 200 from something over a year ago I did pick up everything I dropped everything off at his house except one thing till he paid me now he's going on like I am taking his money from him and he can't do anything because I won't let it go he gave me half this past weekend and wants the last item because I have gotten some of the money but I told him after I get the other half I will he then protested that I was being a bitch because it was his kids Christmas and I told him my husband makes the same as him we have two kids and we pay for everything we have no one pays for us to live he has 2 bills under 200 every month if he has no money then he needs to book a appointment with an accountant considering they have one kid and where they are staying at is completely free to them he is going about me taking from them when in all honesty that is what he is doing to me he is trying to take away from me and my family but flip it to look like it's me I have text and ear witnesses to him asking me to pick up the stuff and he would pay me back but he is also saying he shouldn't have to pay me back because I had the extra money to pick it up where he didn't but I didn't actually have extra money I was just trying to help him

My husband has said he will not allow me to financially help him again and stay silent about how he feels

Me and my husband worked hard to get what we have and we have barely stayed floating with the prices going up and us losing income and having more doctors visits then we ever imagined as well as going from two cars to one

I am curious to if I am wrong to hold on to the item until every dime is paid back or should I give him the toy and next time he ask me to pick up something for him just say no

I know I will never see the original 200 from him because according to him I was working at the time so we had more money then they did 🙈 at this point I don't feel like I could ever help him again

His check goes to vape legos car payment and take away my mom buys everything there kid needs and her family pays for there house and all there bills for said house there grandparents buy there groceries

I really don't care about any of that tho it's the fact he said can you pick up said items for me I will pay you back next weekend one of said items was for his fiance so I assumed he was trying to be sneaky to get it again completely normal in my family especially this time of year to pick up stuff and pay each other back to get things without there significant other knowing

And to everyone saying I shouldn't have got it if I wanted my money back he's the one that said I will pay you back knew I wanted my money back even told me to send him pictures of the receipt to see how much he would owe me

🤦🏼‍♀️ again my aunt bought everything my husband is getting for Christmas from me I paid her every cent back so he wouldn't know what he is getting I also got my sisters husband's items so they wouldn't know what they are getting and my one sister is doing the same for my uncle's and the other the same for my aunts it's completely normal for money and goods to change hands alot this time of year in my family

I am honestly thinking about wrapping said toy for his daughter and giving it to her for Christmas from me and my husband and if anything gets said reminds him I am a petty bitch who will no longer be able to help him in the future
