What should I do?

So this is my second pregnancy the first one ended in a MC and I have an OB and we did some bloodwork and an early ultrasound and we saw baby’s heartbeat at 6 weeks 4 days. My progesterone is pretty low but he doesn’t believe in supplemental progesterone so I went to see a new OB yesterday to get her opinion because I know how important progesterone is in pregnancy and she said she’ll put my on progesterone supplements. Why do doctors say two different things ? Do I need the supplement or do I not

Take it if a doctor has recommended it. There is not a ton of evidence to support progesterone supplementation makes much if any difference to outcomes in early pregnancy and which is why there is so much variation from doctors. Some are more of the opinion that it does not hurt to try while others are more of the opinion it is not worth it. If your numbers are below 11 I would take it for sure, and after I had my first miscarriage I pushed to be tested. Never hurts to get a second opinion and advocate for what you want.

Take it!!!
Nothing will go wrong for having more progesterone by taking progesterone. Safe as well. But not having enough can be a problem. 
Also, just because you're taking it, doesn't mean you will have to take it forever. You're doc will take you off of it around 10wks when the placenta takes over

Hey so I’m also wondering about progesterone, last pregnancy miscarried at 5+2 and this time I got to see the doctor at 6 weeks and she perscribed progesterone pills and now I’m in another country where another doctor said it’s unnecessary and that everything is good (haven’t checked blood levels in either case) and she said last pregnancy just wasn’t meant to be probably and that I can stop taking progesterone because it may be the reason why I have a weird discharge

If your levels are under 10, vaginal supplements are beneficial. Pregnancy can’t be sustained with levels under 10.

“Doesn’t believe in it” sounds sketchy to me. I would follow your new OB’s opinion
