Inheritance

A few weeks ago, my Father in law passed away. For context, my Mother in law passed away 6 years ago as well.

My husband has a sister as well.

In the will, his sister gets their Mums jewellery, my husband gets his Dads jewellery, watches, tools etc.

Monday was the funeral, everyone was drinking, I wasnt.

At the wake his sister began offering the Dads stuff to everyone.

This included his Grandads pocket watch was offered to his cousin, his Dads tools offered to his cousin, one of his Dads watches was being given to his sisters son.

I kept my mouth shut, it isnt the time or place to bring up assets in my opinion.

So, I have told my husband go down physically and talk to your sister.

We have a son, he is only 2, So it would be nice for my husband to pass on his grandfathers watch to our son.

My husband was upset by this, he was a Mummys boy, but when she passed away he shared looking after their dad, we dont have the finances to do the financial side (his sister took him on holiday) but still it is making me question the rest of the inheritance.

They owned this home (no mortgage), his Dad didnt spend much, their is also money in a health insurance policy which generally are worth about £15k.

Just had to get it out.

In the will it is 50/50
