Opks usually have a faint line because we usually have some lh in our systems. You are looking for a line that's as dark or darker than the control line to show a surge is happening. Then ovulation could happen between 12 to 48 hours. It's best to test twice a day to make sure that you don't miss your surge because some people have short surges.
