Ear tubes? 16 month old
What are ways I can keep my baby from getting recurring ear infections without ear tubes? I hate when they just try to solve the problem without even trying to find out why it’s happening. I am 100% set that he’s not getting ear tubes I’ve had family members and friends go deaf have weird leakage years later and wake up with a bloody pillow I’m just not doing it it’s too much to risk. I know the risk of going deaf if you get too many ear infections is still there but I’m trying to find the root of the problem and try to fix it. I also feel like they may just be saying that he has a bunch of ear infections just so they don’t have to do their job I literally took him in for the flu last week and they didn’t test him for the flu or even acknowledge that he had it just gave him antibiotics and said it was a ear infection/sinus infection then I took him to the ENT appointment and she said his ears looked fine and that they could get him an appointment for 3 days like we went on a Friday and she said she could have the tubes in on Monday. I said I wanted to wait 6 weeks to try and see if they go away on their own but I don’t plan on going back.
