Which pads should I use for postpartum?

I’m currently 35 weeks pregnant and I’m putting my hospital bag together but I’m thinking after delivery already too. I know for the first week or so you need to use the extra long pads that the hospital gives you but once you start just having the regular discharge after bleeding should you still continue with the super long thick pads like the always overnight maxi pads or would the always ultra thins overnights work better? I’m just trying to get some advice on which ones I should buy.
