just got checked at my 37 week appointment today & they said my outer cervix is dilated to a 2-3 but my inner is closed what does this mean ? am i close to labor even being near ? or am i not dilated at all fr

Technically I would say you’re not dilated 😭
Dilation doesn’t matter if it’s not all the way through in my opinion

Either way, dilation unfortunately just tells you how far you've come, not how labor may or may not progress. I was dilated to 3 and almost 100% effaced for three days (no labor signs until day of birth). And had a friend walk around for three weeks at a 2!
