Is flat feet normal? What do I do? Toddler…

Question

So I recently took my toddler to her 2 and a half physical exam and when the doctor asked if I had a concern I mentioned that my daughter trips regularly on her own feet. So she examined her and diagnosed her with flat feet…my question is..Is this normal for a toddler? Will she outgrow it? I am lost on what to do…I was just told to take her to an orthopedic doctor and I don’t have the appointment until February so any advice helps🥺

Wait, huh? Flat feet are totally normal in toddlers. Most of them will develop arches by 5-6 years old. My eldest just turned six and had flat feet until about a year ago. My 2 and 4 y/os both still have flat feet. 
Some don't. I've had flat feet all my life. Never had to see a foot doctor because of it. I do get a lot of foot pain very fast if I'm not careful about being on my feet without proper protection too much. But most of the time, the aches can be prevented with inserts in my shoes and thicker socks. But that kind of stuff didn't really start until I was a teen.

Let her walk barefoot as much as possible, good grip socks if cold
