I have been making puppy chow at least once every year for like 15 years and have never used butter. I keep seeing videos on tiktok of people making it and they always add a stick of butter with the chocolate and peanut butter.

I've always just used chocolate and peanut butter and it turns out great. Everyone loves it. But should I try it with the butter? What difference does it make?

Disclaimer: For anyone who doesn't know, puppy chow is not for dogs lol. It's rice chex cereal coated in a peanut butter and chocolate (and apparently butter) mixture, then coated in powdered sugar. I always see people get dragged in the mud on the internet when they talk about puppy chow because people assume they are actually giving their dogs this puppy chow lol
