In my opinion, because both of the examples you gave are of people who belong to a community that is the minority and/or deal with oppression and racism on a regular basis - that someone like me - a white girl, couldn’t possibly understand, I don’t find it discriminatory or bias that they have a community for themselves where they are free of judgement and can relate to each other and discuss their journey and experiences with things, that like I said, I could never fully understand or relate too because I have privilege and have never had to endure a lot of the things these groups of people have. So personally speaking - I’m not offended by these group and I don’t feel discriminated against because I can’t attend - it makes sense to me that I wouldn’t be “allowed”- in fact I’m happy for them that they have these communities where they can be themselves and feel heard and be surrounded by like minded people.
Is this discrimination or biased
If you want to have a night out and the place you go to won’t allow you in because you’re not the same race? Example: A girl from when I was in high school told me that there’s this club “specifically for Indian people and they won’t let you in if you’re not Indian.” There’s also an LGBTQ+ lounge near where I live but some of the people I know won’t go with their friends who are part of the LGBTQ because they’re not part of the LGBTQ
