I just found out I have h. pylori and have been taking medications. I took my son to his pediatrician and was told that if he isn’t complaining about stomach pain that he should be fine.

My son is 6 years old and I’m still terrified because what if he doesn’t have symptoms? Is there anyway to request to get him tested?

His pediatrician also said to not treat it like the “flu” and that it’s something that isn’t passed along easily which also has me worried because of everything that I’ve read.

Has anyone had it? And did the people you live with get it as well or should I not be as worried??

Also would like to add that I’m not sure how long I’ve had it for or how I even got it. I have a follow up appt. in about a week.
