Am I wrong to feel like he could have made it?
My fiancé and I live 3 hours from family. He had a work trip the week after thanksgiving so he flew out local to family and I stayed with my mom. He ended up with covid and drs advised him to quarantine for 10 days due to moderate symptoms. He quarantined at his moms and eventually went back to our apartment last weekend. I stayed at my moms and the plan was for him to come home this weekend and we’d attend my families extended Christmas party and then head back Sunday to come back again next week for Christmas. My birthday is also next week.
On Thursday he kept sending me screen shots from weather.com saying our area was getting pummeled with snow. I mentioned he didn’t have to try to come home if it was going to be bad and he told me he didn’t think he could. Snow was supposed to start Thursday and end Saturday. I talked to him Thursday and yesterday. Thursday he said it was light snow and yesterday he said it was slushy snow.
I texted him around 10 this morning asking how the snow was(when he’d be leaving to make the party) and he responds around 11:30 saying it’s mostly melted.
Am I wrong to feel like he could have made the party? Because of it we won’t be together to celebrate my birthday.
