High Blood Pressure

Victoria

Did anyone else experience high peaks in their blood pressure after having their baby? So, I had my baby boy on a Tuesday (November 29th) and was readmitted into the hospital that Saturday with shaking and fever from Mastitis. While there, they informed me that I may have had pre-eclampsia because I had two high blood pressure readings within four hours of being there and my liver enzymes were high. They discharged me the next morning because my liver enzymes were going down and my blood pressure seemed fine. Fast forward to this past Friday, I had my last appointment with my obgyn since she is closing her clinic on the 20th and I had to find a new clinic to go to for the rest of my postpartum care. When they first checked my blood pressure, it was about 150/100. They checked it again about fifteen or maybe twenty minutes later and it had dropped to around 129/97. They didn’t seem too concerned so I didn’t push it. While talking to my stepmom who was a nurse, I went ahead and got a blood pressure monitor to check until my appointment this Wednesday at the new clinic I’ll be going to. When I checked tonight, it was 9:42 and my blood pressure read 180/116. I waited until 10:00 and checked again and it came down to about 139/97. So, I waited until 10:15 to see if it had went down anymore and it read 125/105. Did anyone else have this problem? I have anxiety and have had a few high blood pressure readings in the past, but, during my pregnancy and before it was never this high. I only had maybe three high readings during my pregnancy and they went down to normal, but, these readings were not as high as the ones I’m seeing now. If y’all did, please tell me how I can address this to my new obgyn. I’m tired of doctors not taking me serious or making me feel like I’m a hypochondriac because I know my body and I don’t think this is normal.
