I know a few Ana's, never heard of people calling them Anna. Yes, you will get the occasional person who reads/says Anna because that's what they know/assume because it's more "common", but when corrected the first time, almost everyone remembers Ana moving forward. I wouldn't stress too much about pronunciation
Help! How would you spell this name?
For reference I am British, and so these pronunciations are how it sounds in my accent. I want the name to be pronounced like AH-na/ AR-na, like at the end of Liliana/ Eliana, or the start sound of Arlo. How would this best be spelt? I like either; spelt ‘Arna’ it means strength, and ‘Ana’ means grace. I think Ana might get confused with ‘Anna’ though? (Pron. like Hannah) which isn’t how I’d prefer it to be said. Does anyone know any Arnas/ Anas? Thanks for your advice ❤️

I'd go with Ana but be prepared for them to have to correct spellings/pronunciation as I'm sure many people will confuse it with Anna. I think Arna is a less common spelling of it though, so they'd still end up saying 'Arna with an R'. I also think the 'Ar' syllable is more pronounced when reading this rather than being a gentle 'ah' sound. Have you considered 'Orna' as I feel like both the pronunciation and spelling of those are more straightforward, if that is your main concern.
