Has anyone told someone you are close to that you were pregnant not long after you found out?

I’ll be 4 weeks pregnant or just over at Christmas and will be at home with my parents. We probably wouldn’t have told them yet but I don’t want anything to give away that I’m pregnant although they wouldn’t have a clue we were trying. It also does feel strange knowing and not telling them. Did anyone tell close a family member/friend you were pregnant early?

I told my best friends the day I got a positive test. It was the day before my 30th birthday. We had plans to go out and they all would have known since I wouldn’t be drinking with them.. I personally think that if you would be okay with them knowing if something were to happen (a loss) then it’s fine to tell them whenever you are ready.

I told all my family and close friends when I found out at 4 weeks because I had recently had a miscarriage and they all knew, and if anything happened again I would tell them again for support so I felt no need to hide my pregnancy! Honestly it’s exhausting and stressful to try hide to people you’re close to. Everyone understood it was early and respected I didn’t want to get too excited just yet (now 8 +3). Of course if you want to wait until you know everything is confirmed to be ok then do what you think is best!

My family was following throughout my ivf journey and have known we were pregnant since we found out ourselves. We’ve been through a loss previously in feb of this year and pregnant again the ongoing support just keeps me going. Congrats on your pregnancy 🫶

i told my family as soon as i found out with baby 1 and wish i wouldn’t have because i miscarried days later. baby 2 i waited til 13 weeks to tell anyone just to save the pain of having to keep telling everybody i miscarried(in case i did again) but i carried him full term and he’s a perfect happy healthy baby boy
