So a couple months ago I decided to go on social media (Instagram and Tiktok) to promote my home business. It started becoming really fun for me and I was enjoying making fun lighthearted videos. I ended up doing really well, gathering 1.2 million followers. Which has been awesome from my business, and plus Tiktok and Insta PAY YOU for views once you gain that sort of following. I get like $45 per 1,000 views. My husband is like totally anti social media. He thinks it’s evil, corrupt, and that it’s “stupid and immature”. I can’t talk about it with him. If he sees me film something or watch a video, he starts making fun of me or implying that I’m silly. I tried to tell him how much money I made last month just from social media and he rolled his eyes and said “okay whatever.” Like I have zero support from him and he is embarrassed that “a wife and mother is on TikTok.” His words. I’m starting to get really bummed out about it. It feels like I have to hide it from him so that he doesn’t make fun of me. I legit feel bullied when he tells me what I enjoy doing is stupid. I’m not putting ANYTHING inappropriate on the app. It’s literally just lighthearted content about my ART business. What should I do? 😩
