I have a cousin who has really unconventional parenting views. She’s a very…obese…woman so idk if this has to do with it BUT she doesn’t believe in “heat” no matter how cold it is and thinks it’s good for your lungs to be cold. It is -11°F right now where we live with a windchill of -25°F and she refuses to heat her house. Her kids are 7, 4, and 2 and she doesn’t even dress them warmly. They’re in t shirts. She sent a picture and said “see, they’re built strong.” She believes the cold is good for them. Is this… neglect? Abuse? She is constantly sweating and hot because of her weight so I think she assumes everyone else is always warm too? What should I do?
