38 weeks pregnant, been having twinges on and off for a week and just general abdominal discomfort. Tonight I suddenly got this awful pain down the left side of my abdomen, it felt like a stitch but 10× worse and was struggling to walk with it as it was so intense and stabbing. It wasn't focused on one bit, it more started towards the left of my belly button and spread up and down on the whole left side of my abdomen. My stomach was tight when it began but idk if this is just a coincidence as I've been having more Braxton hicks recently. It lasted about 10 minutes and then went away but I can still feel it a little sore as if I've got a normal stitch. It feels different from round ligament pain as I've experienced that a lot since 12 weeks so I don't think it's that. Could this just be my body preparing for labour or something? Anyone had similar?
