I made crock pot chicken and rice tonight for dinner. I browned the chicken in a frying pan and added it to the gravy in the crock pot. Saw the larger pieces of chicken were still pink in the very center and without thinking added JUST the gravy on top of rice and had a few bites.
I am 17 weeks pregnant and TERRIFIED now that I am going to get salmonella. The chicken was cooked to 180 within 30 minutes of me doing this and most of chicken was cooked through, just the larger pieces were pink in the center.
