Climbing baby help
My baby loves to climb! She’s 10 months old, walking well, and able to climb onto the couch if she’s lucky enough to spot a pillow that fell to the ground to give her a little boost up. We work through climbing off the couch backwards but it’s still work in progress.
My issue is that when she gets up there she goes to stand up against the back rest. Our couch is in the middle of the living room, open floor plan house with wood floors. There’s a little walkway behind the couch then glass doors to outside, so there’s no way to move the couch to be against a wall. I’m very worried she’s going to topple off the back of the couch and crack her head open against the glass or wood floor.
Our play pen wraps around the living room as this is where we spend all our time. The whole space is safe for her other than this new development, and I have no idea how to baby proof it.
I got her climbing toys for Christmas to meet her climbing need but I’m worried it’ll just give her more stuff to boost herself up onto the couch with now too 🙃
