How to read monitor?

Am I having contractions or Braxton hicks? I had bloody show and baby’s heart rate is 183 should I tell nurse? The monitor is beeping

Answer

So braxton hicks can be STRONG. The difference between thnem (from experience and what my doctors told me) is that if the contractions aren’t actually doing anything like effacing your cervix or dilating then they are false labor contractions also know as Braxton hicks. (Obviously there are other differences as well) I was having them consistently for HOURS measuring as strong as second stage labor. My back hurt so bad from them they gave me a lot of different things to stop them.
