Disappointed that it appears my period has come…10 days earlier than expected??

My last several cycles were between 34-36 days and very heavy. Last month was my first time using OPKs and my LH started increasing CD 17 and ovulating CD 23.

This time around my period was VERY light, and I never got a positive OPK (started CD 18). Now it’s CD 26…or should I say CD 1 because I started my period this morning 😢 so I must’ve ovulated much earlier since it was a shorter cycle and I didn’t realize?

Not really posting a question, just venting my disappointment
