We were visiting my SILs for Christmas for a couple nights. She had a friend joining us with a child. When we were both upstairs (me and my husband), I heard the friend downstairs asking about my husband, asking how old he was. Ok. Then later on she asked my husband in front of everyone what he does for work and he said he’s “self employed”. She asked what he does specifically and he said he delivers diapers (on his own time) and she said “maybe you can stop by and deliver some to me”…. 🤨 I understand she has a child but that comment completely rubbed me the wrong way. He told her the diapers were for old people, not for kids. He then leaned back on the couch and put his arm around me. He said that was his way of “making it clear”. I always feel like I have a strong intuition and I did not trust her. My husband was extremely nice to her daughter and maybe she thought she found her a daddy but nope, not over here!! She also never asked me a single thing about myself until she was leaving, which was when she asked me “what ethnicity are you?”.. after spending two days together. Her and my husband are of the same ethnicity if it matters. And she always initiated a conversation with my husband, never once with me.
