Is it rude to have a baby shower for your SECOND baby?

I’ve always thought those were for your first baby only (with the exception of people who have babies super far apart….like I know a girl who’s two kids are 16 years apart and she got a second shower because she had absolutely nothing left over or anything she could possibly have saved or used compared to someone who had babies that were maybe two years apart)

For me personally, I never had a baby shower with my first baby because we were told through my whole pregnancy that I wouldn’t bring my baby home from the hospital - so the last thing I wanted was a bunch of stuff to remind me of my baby who I didn’t get to take home.

( FYI she ended up being a miracle baby who is now 5 years old - has some health issues yes but a miracle no less! I never had a shower for her. Basically my parents, myself, and grandparents went on a rampage and bought everything within her first week of being home)

Can I have a shower for my second? I’m now married, have a huge extended family, it’ll be his first baby, I want him (and me too) to experience a shower but I don’t want to sound entitled? Thoughts???
