Anyone else??

Anyone else not even call their doctor yet to set up an appointment? I’m 7 weeks tomorrow. Still kinda shocked with it all. Last pregnancy I had they wouldn’t see you til 8 or more weeks.

It was awkward. I called the dr my sister had for all 3 of her pregnancies. I saw the reviews too prior. I was praying that their “horrible” customer service was a blip in the radar. When I called the receptionist asked the date of my last missed period, then told me there is no dr there to deliver in August. That is all. The other end of the phone went silent. I had to ask what that meant & she asked me what I meant by asking that. So I get the “horrible” comment now. Ugh. 1st time calling to set up an appointment, I’m going to be getting used to this “outta my element” feeling… idk what got into me but after that fail, I called up my insurance customer care & they set me up with a list of other doors to try. My experience may help someone out there. Call customer care, they’ll be ready to assist to put your mind at ease. We need as much mental ease as possible at this stage.

I called and set my appointment. My OB likes to see patients from 8wks-10wks.
I have mine on January 12. I should we 8 weeks and 4 days.

Yup, I haven’t lol and it’s more out of “ when am ready”. This pregnancy was a total shock for me and my husband, this will be baby number 4. So this time around I’ve been more relaxed and still trying to take it all in still.

I scheduled mine early at 3 weeks 2 days but I’m high risk so they probably suggest I come earlier. I’d say, do you! Whatever you feel comfortable with!

I would call them soon just to get it on the schedule. Even if you don’t need to be seen for awhile some doctors book a little ways out. 
I’m still being seen by my fertility clinic because we did IVF. If my appointment at the fertility clinic goes as planned tomorrow they will tell me to call my OB now to schedule something for 8-12 weeks, I’m 6 and a half weeks currently.

yup. i’m 9 weeks today and won’t see my OB until i’m 12 weeks and 5 days

I will be 5 weeks tomorrow, I don’t plan on calling and setting something up until 8-11 weeks tbh.  With my last pregnancy I didn’t get seen until 11.5 weeks due to the fact I had Covid (that was in 2020)
