Baby 4months. Should I try for another right now?

Question

I’m 29 and my baby girl will be 4months next week. I had her alone through insemination so it’s just us. My mother and grandmother have her when I work. I want to start trying to conceive my next child, I would like three in total before I’m 35.
Has anyone had kids this close together?
Do you wish you would have waited?
What do you guys think??

I would not intentionally try again until 18 months/2 years. The impact on your body can be tremendous, and for me, it would not be worth the risk.

Beside it being harmful for your body conceiving so soon…I personally wouldn’t want to put the stress to my mother and grandmother of having to care for a second little one…why not wait until you can put your child into proper daycare? Or wait till you have a significant other to have proper help with your future children? This is just my thinking.

Way way way too early to start for another pregnancy. You should wait a minimum of 18m pp to start trying again. There are serious complications that can easily happen when getting pregnant way too soon. Your body NEEDS time to recover. Let your baby be a baby and not have the emotional, physical, and mental stress of another pregnancy impact that.

I would rather die, than have a baby while my first baby is still a baby. And I have a partner to share the load with.
I don't thinks it's recommended for your body either. But seriously, having kids close in age is pretty damn exhausting and draining. I cannot imagine doing that to myself if I was alone.

Are you planning on having three kids without a partner? Do your Mom & Grandmother know and support that plan? Are they willing to be taking care of three little ones I assume for free while you working to be able to afford the kids? This sounds so totally unfair to your Mom & Grandmother. Also, I wouldn’t want anyone else raising my children. Why not just wait until you find a partner and have the other two kids with them? That way you might be able to stay home or at least have a hand in raising your kids yourself?

I have a cluster of kids, most are 2 years apart, but I have two that are a year apart and two that are a year and a half apart- personally if I could start over I would have had them a year-year and a half apart. It’s so much easier. With my group that are 2 years apart I remember struggling, but when I had two a year apart I loved it. It was great. Honestly, you don’t know when you’ll conceive so I don’t see a problem with starting TTC with babe at 4 months (everyone has a personal preference). You’ll do great.

If you look into the research, waiting at least 6 months before conceiving again makes a HUGE difference in terms of the risk of complications. Waiting 12 months or the recommended 18 months before conceiving makes a much smaller difference.   At the bare minimum, I'd suggest waiting 2 more months.
