HPV Question
I fooled around with a guy when I was 17-18 years old. There was no penetration but we did have a lot of skin to skin contact/rubbing of genitals.
I started dating my now husband a couple years later at 20 years old. He’s the only man I’ve ever had sex with.
All my yearly pap smears have been normal my entire life, and I’m 35 years old now. Is there still a chance I could have gotten HPV from the sexual contact in my teens? I would have thought it would have come up positive in a pap smear by now, right? It’s been 17 years since then…
To clarify - I have NEVER had a Pap smear come back positive for HPV. I’m just wondering if it’s possible it could still happen after 17 years. Like, if I got it in my teens, wouldn’t it have likely come up positive in a test by now? I’ve been really good about getting my Pap smears every single year.
