spotting

i was supposed to get my period yesterday but it still hasn’t come. i know that after taking EC pill it can mess with your cycle, however, it’s been about a week since i took that pill and i’ve suddenly started spotting (very light red/brown). is this normal? what does this mean?

this is the first time i’ve experienced spotting so i’m not sure how to go about this.
