When do pregnancy symptoms start?

I am only 5 dpo but today my boobs feel so much bigger and are really tender, almost sore to touch. I have had really bad nausea and been quite emotional, which is not like me. Not sure if I'm over thinking but surely this is too early for pregnancy symptoms? Should I test?

Just due to progesterone. No do not test. If you have conceived, implantation (on average) normally occurs at 9 dpo, as early as 7 dpo, or as late as 12 dpo (so anywhere in-between). And if implantation does take place, it takes another 2-3 days for the HCG to rise, and for any symptoms, if any, to show after; as well as showing up on a test.

Nothing at 5 DPO is pregnancy related as implantation has not occurred. Implantation has to happen then it takes 2-4 days for hCG to double and double enough to be high enough to cause any true pregnancy symptoms. But normal hormones after ovulation, progesterone, cause what you are experiencing. Do not test till you are at least 8 DPO.
