Lock on bathroom door?

Hi all,
My boy just turned 5 and he always comes into the bathroom when I am going to the toilet or shower. I'm not really comfortable with this as he gets older. Should I put locks on the doors? I would like to teach him what privacy is also. Do you leave your kids in the bathroom with you? Do they follow ye in?

My boy is 5 and I started with him going to the toilet alone with the door closed, I said something like “no I don’t want to see you haveing a poo/wee now your a big boy” and I’m slowly moving it on it, “you have the door shut when you go to the toilet you can talk to me on the other side of the door if you need to.” 
It’s slowly working!

My son is 3 and a half and I can't remember the last time I went to the bathroom without a little visitor 😂 same with baths too
