Can EBF babies overeat?

Question

I was speaking to my neighbour and her baby is 4 days younger than mine.  
Hers was 7 lb 5oz and mine was 7 lb 10 oz at birth 
However at 11 weeks my son is 15 lb 6oz and hers is 9lb 5 oz. 
Both babies are EBF. Am I feeding my Son too much?

A directly nursing at breast baby will not over feed. They have full control with how much they take in. When you are bottle feeding then yes it is easy to over feed and pace feeding has to be done.

You can’t overfeed a breastfeeding baby ☺️ all babies grow at their own rate. Just like kids, adults 😊 
I agree with the other comment, other mom might not be producing enough. My son was EBF and had ROLLS… the doctor always asked if I was supplementing or if I did rice cereal.. he was only 4 months and he was chonky lol

No they can’t. She might just have a small baby or isn’t producing enough for her baby. Has she went in for a weighted feed?

My kids are all very very rolly breastfed babies, but around 2 they shoot up and go long and lean. I always find mine chunked up more right before a growth spurt as well

Every baby grows different. My boy is 4 months old and is almost 17lbs🩵 he's chonky 😍 we've had 5 babies born into the family last year and they're all breastfed and super healthy but all very different sizes. You're doing great

Every baby grows at their own rate just like adults. Not everyone is the same size right, same with babies. My first was a girl and a little tiny thing, 10th percentile and my second was 90th percentile and he had rolls. Both ebf.. they have completely diff body types and my little girl is still super petite and will always be that way.
That being said, I do believe very young newborns can be overfed even when breast feeding since their sucking reflex is so powerful, if you give them boob they will drink.
