I rang when I was 4 weeks to the day and they said I needed to ring back a week later. So I rang at 5 weeks, but I don’t have my first prenatal appointment until I’m 9 weeks 1 day! It was booked for 8 weeks but was cancelled due to ‘staffing issues’.

I’ve found out I’m pregnant and apparently you do it around 8 weeks so you can have bloods before 10 weeks for some important tests . Hope this helps

I called straight away due to an ectopic and a miscarriage in the last year

I was told I had to be 6 weeks for referral

They don't see you until 6-8 weeks so you have time after finding out but letting the GP surgery know your pregnant and getting a midwife referral across early won't do any harm (they won't see you early though)

Hey! UK here! You can do it online. I phoned my gp for them to basically be like “right ok?” I phoned my maternity clinic and they said “oh you just do all that online and we contact you” 🥰 but obviously depends where about you are. Just give them a call and they can sort it.

I self referred both pregnancies myself online to the hospital at around 5 weeks and got a response within a week to confirm a booking appointment around 8-10 weeks. Your unlikely to be seen before then and doctors won’t do anything to confirm appt at all so just ask to be referred
