Which is better for nursing school?

The only differences are price, storage space, and weight. I have a MacBook Pro (10 years old), it’s heavy and the battery drains super fast so I’m looking into buying a new one for nursing school because I need to take it to school for every lecture.

iPad - lighter, cheaper, more convenient for everyday use even after school is over but not a lot of storage

MacBook Pro/Air - a lot of storage but heavier and more expensive. If I decide on a Mac, then I can decide pro or air.
